MEET OUR CAMPERS
Meet Natalia
Natalia Bañuelos is a true fighter, born with trisomy 18 but overcoming every obstacle with a smile. From heart surgery to needing a trach and vent full-time, she faced them all head-on, winning with the help of her strong spirit. Even with the need for a trach and vent full-time, Natalia's toughness shines through as she now spends her days off the vent, thriving in every moment. Soon, she'll conquer the night too, a testament to her fierce strength and spirit. Her strength and happiness are truly inspiring.
Meet Bree
Bree is the sweetest, happiest, and most life-loving two-year-old girl. Due to Bree's rare genetic condition called Trisomy 13, Bree has a range of complex medical issues. Despite reoccurring lengthy hospital stays, Bree always finds joy in everyday occurrences. Her smile will light up any room. Some of Bree's favorite things are the sun on her face, warm baths, family cuddles, and songs from her big sister Shyla.
Meet Constance
Constance Calleja (aka CC) received her name because there was so much uncertainty surrounding her trisomy 18 diagnosis (including if she would live and if she did what she'd be capable of) but the unwavering constants were our love for her, commitment to advocate for her, and our faith in God's plan. CC is a tenacious, strong, vibrant, stubborn, jubilant, and silly 4 year old who loves her family…
Meet Journey
Journey was given a week, to live, now rounding toward her 5th birthday I could not find a child more full of life, and all its about. Journey is incredibly social and she has a passion for travel, so she could not be more thrilled to hear her two passions will be merged this October where she will be reunited with some and meet 31 friends. She anxiously awaits a trip blessed with travel and fellowship bestowed upon her by the incredible Stella Effect!
Meet Anna
Anna was diagnosed prenatally with Trisomy 13. She lives in West Virginia with her mom, dad, and older brother but was born in Cincinnati and travels to Cincinnati Children’s to see her specialists.
