Meet Hope

Hope is 2.5 years old with full Trisomy 18. She brings so much joy into our lives. We never could have imagined a life with a child with complexities, and now we couldn’t imagine one without! Hope brings light and warmth everywhere she goes, she has brought insurmountable amounts of laughter and love into our home. We have been so thankful to enjoy her beautiful life everyday. Hope has 4 siblings. Dayna (19),Mya(14), Toby (13) and Addalyn (11) they absolutely ADORE her ! There are many fights over who gets to hold her or put her to bed, to carry her or push her in her wheelchair. Not a day goes by that her siblings don’t love on her with a fierce compassionate love. Hope is our 7th child, with 2 now in Heaven, Hope was a twin! Unfortunately her twin passed at 8 weeks gestation and we did not get to meet him/her. But we are forever thankful that Hope kept her sibling comforted for those 8 weeks, and we will be reunited again! The other kids named Hope’s twin, Elliot ❤️. After being told that Hope likely would not make it to term in pregnancy we are just overjoyed to see her now not only live to share her life, but to thrive and enjoy it! We watch her grow in size and in cognitive abilities and it’s just absolutely heart warming to be a part of such a miracle alongside many other amazing families. Things that make Hope extra special are her extra nubs on each pinky finger and how her fingers can hyperextend ( she will make a great pianist 😊) Hope loves to blow bubbles (with her food) constantly making messes everywhere she goes, she loves to bat at toys and has the most beautiful smile full of teeth. Hope eats orally! Which we were told she never would. She definitely enjoys her purées. Hope loves to rock back and forth and use her head as an extra hand to help her do things, she is constantly surprising us! Hope is now learning to use her knees and attempts to push herself across the floor that way. Hope spent the first 4.5 months in hospital while we watched her grow from 4lb 4oz to now a whopping 22 pounds! Hope had open heart surgery and a GTube placed in her 4th month. This all went very smoothly and we are grateful for the amazing opportunity we had for healthcare during her life. Hope is doing really well and we are just thankful to be able to raise such a precious child of God ! We wouldn’t trade this opportunity for the world, Hope is a reminder of the hope in our lives that we have when we seek the Lord through all things. A reminder of what’s to come and to remember the peace that passes all understanding. Hope’s name was purposeful, and was thought of one day seemingly a gift that just came into my head when I woke up. We not only have hope for a better day, but hope through all circumstances, and that just became every part of our lives as we encountered the many obstacles during pregnancy, so it was just an incredible gift to be given such a precious and fitting name to use, and to share with anyone who meets her. ❤️Hope: A strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It is in the person and work of Jesus - his righteous life, sacrifice death, and victorious resurrection. It is all he has done now as he intercedes got us in heaven. We have Hope! What a blessing.

We would love your help sending Hope to camp. Every amount helps and is so appreciated.
